WEEK 7 IN IRELAND (+ LONDON)

It’s crazy to think I only have one week left in Dublin! I feel like I’ve gotten so much done, but I know there’s still so much that I haven’t done/seen. However, I am excited to get back home to see my family and cat. I look forward to the day that I get to come back to Europe, though.
Next week, Faith and I will probably finish up some content calendars for some clients. Other than that, we each wrote a third blog for Escalate and are finishing up our Canva Learning courses. We don’t have any final presentations or anything specific like that; just the normal work we’ve been doing (blogs, content planning, keyword research, SEO, etc.). Thankfully, Faith and I don’t have any work or clients that we have to hand off to anyone, as our coworkers are the main account holders for the clients we’ve been helping with.
What I’m most proud of throughout my time at my internship is the ads and content that I created for our client FitFlop’s Mid-Summer Sale. The ads and content I created have been put on the client’s website, sent to the client’s email list, and is being posted on their Instagram grid. To think that my work is actually being put out there and used by our clients is exciting! I wish we had more time to go on more client photoshoots and events, as that was a super fun part of the job.
For my final week in Dublin, I’m not quite sure what exact work we’ll be given at Escalate. Faith and I each finished our tasks for this week, so we will probably just help out with future content calendars to make our coworkers’ lives easier in the future. Outside of my internship, though, I pretty much already have my whole week planned out. Tuesday after work, we’re going with our coworkers to the 40-foot, which I’m so excited for! Wednesday, we have our farewell meal with API. On Thursday, our bosses are taking us out for drinks after work. Then, all of us interns are having a party in the social lounge to celebrate the end of our summer in Dublin. To be completely honest, Friday will probably consist of simply being hungover and packing. Then I have to get to the Dublin airport by about 7 am on Saturday morning.
This past weekend, I went to London by myself, and it was amazing! I got to see the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and Stonehenge (pictures below).

I just got back to Dublin on Tuesday morning since I work from home on Mondays. Then on Wednesday night, I went to the JP Saxe concert (also by myself), which I bought VIP tickets for. I got a free signed poster, a meet and greet with JP, and got to have him sign my merch. It was the most amazing night (see pictures below)!

This weekend, we’re going to Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains with the whole API crew, so that will be super fun.
My second-to-last week has been outstanding, and I can only hope that next week is even better. It really is crazy to think about how fast these two months have flown by. It feels like I’ve been in Dublin forever, but at the same time, not long at all. It’s a weird feeling, but I’m excited to get home and share my adventures with my loved ones.
