HAILIE MENTZ
Below I've attached some samples of work that I have completed in a few of my classes throughout my college experience.
This was a semester-long Marketing Research project that a group of 6 students, including myself, completed. The group researched previous tactics Northwest Missouri State University used to aid first-generation students in their success, then sent out a survey to assess how they could better aid in their success. I was the primary client contact for the group, as well as one of the main copywriters/editors. The group then made a short PowerPoint to explain the research to the Director of the Student Success Center, as well as a paper of the entire project.
During a Global Marketing Management course, my team and I were instructed to create a preliminary product launch plan by conducting a SWOT analysis, 3 C's analysis, PEST analysis, and more. After thorough research, we devised a plan for Tesco to launch operations in Shanghai. Our plan includes financial forecasting, a plan of market entry, marketing communication and promotions, and a contingency plan. Our group received the highest score in the class.
For my Marketing Management class, myself and four other students created a marketing plan for a small, local business located in Riverside, Missouri. We conducted a survey, as well as a situational analysis and evaluated the company's current marketing plan in order to create the best recommendations possible. I was my team's leader and editor.
In my Multinational Management class, I took part in a 3-month project called X-Culture. I worked alongside 5,140 students from 150 universities in over 78 countries on 6 continents. My team was made up of 5 other students from 4 different countries. We developed a high-quality business plan for a multinational company called Troitsky Most headquartered in St. Petersburg, Russia. I was my team's leader and editor.
For my Principles of Marketing class, I was instructed to create an Annotated Bibliography of eight articles that related to the course material. The articles I chose focused on the four P's of the marketing mix: price, place, promotion, and product.
For my Managerial Communications class, I was instructed to write a persuasive letter. I chose to write to the President of Northwest Missouri State University asking him to create a scholarship exclusively for first-generation students.
